To impress employers, it is important to adhere to job interview protocol. Interviewers have expectations about what to expect from potential employees, and they are looking for you to meet those expectations. Your ability to fit in is being tested, because good employees need to be able to conform to a workplace environment.

What to Do at the Interview

From the moment you show up to the interview until the moment you leave, there are a variety of behaviors that employers are looking for as they analyze whether you are a potential fit for their company. These should be seen at every stage in the interview process with every interviewer you meet with.

* DO make eye contact, smile, listen and respond when appropriate.
* DO nod when the employer is speaking to show that you are listening.
* DO answer questions with more than a “Yes” or “No”.
* DO be honest with all of your answers.
* DO have knowledge of the job, company and position.
* DO introduce yourself to everyone you meet at the interview.
* DO let yourself be relaxed and friendly. Personal but professional conversation is encouraged.
* DO ask questions to the interviewer and ask for clarification.

What Not to Do at the Interview

Perhaps the most important part of interview protocol is the type of behaviors you need to avoid. Not asking a question to the interviewer may not ruin your chances at success, but doing any of the behaviors listed below often will.

* DO NOT make jokes/insults about the people you have met during your interview.
* DO NOT make any demands to lesser staff members (i.e. “Get me a coffee.”).
* DO NOT say negative things about your previous workplace, your coworkers, or even your friends, family, or the stranger that cut you off on your way to the interview. Employers do not want people that are negative and complain, even for good reason.
* DO NOT insult a work strategy employed by the company. You never know if your interviewer was the one that suggested it.
* DO NOT show up late or call the interviewer to ask where the place is located on the day of the interview.
* DO NOT wear heavy cologne or perfume. Some people have allergies.
* DO NOT have somewhere to be after the interview that may require you to leave early. If there is some very pressing business that needs your attention, schedule the interview on a different day or much, much earlier.
* DO NOT discuss salary, benefits, or vacation during your interview unless prompted by the interviewer.
* DO NOT tell the interviewer that you are planning on leaving the job to go to graduate school, move, or start your own company any time in the future. You can quit any job if need be, but during the interview you must act as though you plan on being with the company forever.

An opportunity exists for a Freight Controller who will be fully accountable for the

General Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for general overseeing of people and processes on the mining and processing site. You will ensure that all projects and contracts are managed in the most effective manner and within time constraints.

You will liaise with our clients and partners in order to maintain our already established relationships. You should be commercially-savvy and skilled in finding new markets and negotiating with clients in order to increase the firm’s future revenues and overall financial expectations.

In order to be considered for this role, candidates should possess a degree in any of Geology, Metallurgy & Materials, Mechanical or Production Engineering.

You must have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role, of which 5 should be in a leadership capacity. Mining & minerals processing experience is a must. A working knowledge of the local language will be of advantage.

Materials Manager

Working on a major mining project, the Materials Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure all objectives are met and completed on time and within budget. You will develop procedures for the management of materials for site and carry out inspections as required. Additionally, you will be involved in the storage, security and issuing of materials as required.

In order to be successful in this position you will have previous experience in a similar role. Ideally with a qualification in Mining, Metallurgy, Materials or Process Engineering, you will have all the technical knowledge of materials handling.

You will also have experience in the mining industry, especially for lead, zinc, and/or copper ores etc. As you will be required to manage certain aspects of various projects, you will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Upon employment, the ideal candidate will be responsible for effective and efficient operation and monitoring of production process equipment associated with EPNL's onshore or offshore production facilities. Specifically, the job holder will:

• Safely operate (or supervise the operation) and monitor all production process equipment associated with EPNL oil and gas production, pipe lines, utility and

safety systems to achieve set production and or operational targets.
•
Carry out first level maintenance on instrumentation, pumps and other production equipment.
• Ensure that all relevant production data is accurately recorded and reported daily.
• Advise the Chief Operator of any potentially hazardous situations in order to ensure the earliest possible return to completely safe working conditions.
• Ensure that all installations and work sites are kept safe and that a safe and secure working environment exists at all times with particular regard to the permit to work procedures.
• Ensure that all installations and work sites are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Maintain full awareness of emergency procedures so as to be capable of immediately assuring the appropriate responsibilities in the event of an emergency.
• To carry out any other duties assigned to him that are within his capabilities and for which he has received appropriate training.
• During, facility commissioning perios, assist the commissioning team in preparing commissioning operating tests and equipment performance checks, as well as preparing the start-up phase

Education :

The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:

* OND or HND (or their equivalents) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering from accredited higher institutions
* Class of degree of at least Upper Credit
* 2007/2008 graduate or earlier who has not participated in EPNL's recruitment process before

The role will provide accounts receivable support in the pre and after sales process, liasing with both the sales team and Microsoft customers to ensure customers,partners and Microsoft sales staff are informed about credit options available in the pre-sales process; that Microsoft has the right details for billing customers and that Microsoft disputes are solved timely while customers pay according to payment terms.

The secondary function to this role will be to focus on credit issues and provide support for Microsoft West,East and Central Africa. Candidates must have 5 years work experience in credit and collections.

Must have Accounting or Social Science degree,experienced in customer-facing environment and fully computer literate in Ms Excel,Ms Office.

Experience with NOTAP and WHT preferred
